The cooler weather brings the gorgeous Fall colours. A big thanks to Barb who posted the link to a Daily Hive article that highlights great locations to walk and appreciate the view. You may consider these for weekday walks or even an "offsite" Saturday if enough people would like that.

The précis version of the list follows along with links to their sites, but please take a moment to read the original article for a more reasons to check them out. We've walked all or almost all these locations, and it can be refreshing to mix things up, if that's how you're inclined. We can discuss in person, in the comments here or on WhatsApp.
The writer did not include the Spit on the list, but it probably should be there as well. If that is choice this week, the map below includes actual names for the landmarks we have often looked at.
Pipit Point, Sunken Woods, Goldfish Pond... Who knew! |
So far, Saturday looks promising, mild and no rain until later in the day. We can convene for après-marche to chat about the above Fall walks, or any other topic, as we do while enjoying a special Tim's orange donut in support of Residential Schools survivors.
Weekday walks continue on in the usual pods. If you're stuck for company or want some extra distance, don't hesitate to reach out through the comments or the WhatsApp group.

Looking forward to a walk on Saturday. See you at 8.
Plan is to join you all tomorrow morning. It's been a while! Where are we meeting these days.
Trish, we meet in front of Loblaws at Lake Shore and Leslie. More room to spread out there and washroom is accessible.
Great. See you there.
Plan on walking tomorrow with the turtles...might even try a route just north not too far.
I'll be out for my turtle walk. Loved going to the Winthrow Farmer's Market last Saturday with the group. Nice change of scene.
Went on a very long hike today so may or may not be out in the morning. Please don't wait if I'm not there at 8.
I'll be at Loblaws at 8.
Ruth
