Walks - Saturday Sept. 22 - Wednesday Sept. 26

Some of the Shorethings Pirates

Congratulations to Kim, Helen, Bob, Jan, Lynne, Leverne and Dawn, all of whom competed in the Maritime race last weekend - some did 5 km; some did the half marathon; and some did both races. Apparently, there were a few unanticipated hills on the course. Love the outfits. A good time was had by all.

Join us on Saturday, at Tim's, at 8:00 am for a walk and coffee with friends. For those training, the distances are as follows:
Corning - 12 k on Saturday and 10 k and 8 k during the week.
Scotia - a long 18 k and 10 and 8 k during the week.
If any one wants to start earlier, please announce your plan in the blog so that others know and may consider joining you.

Other walking options:
Sunday walkers meet at 8:30 am at the Running Room on Queen St.
Weekday day time walkers - usually walks are organized by Charlotte - check with her for details.
Evening walks at 6:30 pm on Monday (Loblaws) and Wednesday (Occasions).
As always, it helps to sign in.

I don't know about your priorities, Margy. But we're glad to have your company. I'll try for 7:00 (and I won't have the excuse of a prior appointment to bail early this time), but don't wait for me if I sleep in.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to do the 18k with Margy, Norma and Ruth (so unfortunate!), as I have to work, but hope to back out next weekend for the 20k ~ happy walking!
