Walks - Saturday Oct. 28 - Wednesday Nov. 1

Race Day Winners

Yikes - I forgot to do the blog - I confess ....

Join us on Saturday at Tim's at 8:00 am. The distance is anything that suits you - just get out and move and challenge yourself.

For those training and there are only a few of us left, the distances are as follows:
NYC - 16 km - final taper walk - will be meeting at 6:30 am for the last time!
LV - 16 km
Distances during the week are 10 km and 10 km.

Sunday morning walkers meet at the Running Room on Queen St. at 8:30 am.
Mid week walks - Monday at 7:00 pm at Loblaws; Wednesday at Occasions at 6:30 pm. Come out and walk - we need more mid-week walkers.

Last Sunday was the Scotiabank race. The Shorethings were well represented. Helen's comments - weather was perfect; all had good results. Bob finished 4th in the walkers overall; Helen was in a brand new age category & placed 3rd. Unfortunately, Trish had to drop out due to knee problems. She’s hoping for better things in Las Vegas. Congratulations to all - well done. Speedy recovery, Trish.

Looking proud of their accomplishment

Hi, I will not be out tomorrow morning as I have an appointment. Hope it remains dry for everyone.

Hello All, I probably won't be out tomorrow morning as I'm working quite late tonight. Hope everyone has a good walk, and a good weekend!

i Will be doing my long walk (though I may cut the distance down a bit) on Sunday. Will return to regular Saturday walking after Vegas. Have a great weekend everyone.

Bob and I will be there for a short walk — if it isn’t raining.

Congratulations you diehard scotia walkers. I won’t be out Saturday because I have to do my once a year, Saturday bail court.

Given the wet weather, I think we'll stay home today and cross our fingers for next week. Have a great weekend.

I'm going to have to give it a reluctant pass again on Monday. Too many things on my plate tonight.

And Wednesday I'm double-booked for both an online class and Doc Soup. Bob will be at the documentary, so we won't be at Occasions.

However, we might end up walking on Wednesday morning, if anyone is interested in joining us.

Hoping to see you all on Saturday!

It's too cold and windy for me so I am going to pass this evening.

Ok - 6:05 - no desired response re: walking so I will walk from home.

I won't be out on Wednesday due to Doc Soup.

Enjoy the evening.

I just looked outside - doesn't look too promising so I guess I'm not missing much so far! Saturday was crappy, today looks crappy, and Wednesday is Hot Docs so I don't have to feel like I'm missing anything!
