Join us on Saturday at Tim's. For those who are not training for a specific race, meet at 8:00 am and walk whatever distance suits you.
Training for Montreal - meet at 7:00 am for our 12 km walk (our last taper walk - yeah). Scotiabank racers have their longest walk - 20 km - if you want to start earlier, put it in the blog comments.
Mid week distances for Montreal: 6 and 5 km; for Scotiabank: 8 and 10 km.
Sunday walks from the Running Room on Queen St. starting at 8:30 am. Evening walks on Monday (Loblaws) and Wednesday (Occasions) at 7:00 pm.
If you are interested in mid-week day time walks, check with Dawn as some folks are meeting for 1 or 2 day time walks.
Olwyn - let us know if you need some company for your walks this week.

The weather forecast for tomorrow looks worrisome. I am open to Sunday morning instead, perhaps 8ish?

I can do Saturday or Sunday depending on the weather. I am suggesting a later start time for Saturday, say 7.30 or even 8 as the walk is not too long and it will be lighter later, but will go with the majority.

I could do 7 or 730 but not 8 - we are heading out of town tomorrow and I don't want to be too late.

I'll be at Tim's at 7 for my...sigh...20k ~ EEK! Bob, can you suggest an amusing route? I know you Montrealer's did your 20k a couple of weeks ago, so if you can let me know what that was, I'd be grateful. Not sure I can make it out for mid-week walks, so I'm getting my distance in walking from office to home; thanks for the offer though. Let's hope the weather-man is wrong again about tomorrow morning's rain ~ he hasn't been right lately about a lot of things (and he still gets paid!)
Here is my Plan B...I'll walk to Tim's in the morning (4k), and then do 12k with anyone doing the 12; then walk home; according to my calculations...this will be 20k in total; with a couple of breaks thrown in for fun! Planning to be there for 7am. There is method in my madness....or just madness!
I can do either day so will wait to learn more about the weather, it does look like they are calling for rain and thunderstorms from early on...I will check back but would prefer tomorrow.
I'll be doing my walks around hot, humid Atlanta on Saturday and Monday. See you Wednesday!

Arlene and I walked our 12 k in glorious sun today as I cannot make it tomorrow. Greg and I plan to do the terry Fox on Ward's Island Sunday- weather permitting. 8:45 ferry to Ward's Islamd is the curent plan.
I won't be out tomorrow for last training walk. Heading up to Lindsay tonight for wedding tomorrow. Jan - Ali needs to be there early to do makeup for Grandma of the Groom and an Aunt! Hoping to makeup my distance on the dance floor. Have a good walk everyone.
Looks like the forecast for Sundsy is not much better. So it's a go for Saturday for me. As far as the time, it will be up to my Uber gal Jan!
You poor long distance walker having to monitor around the weather (do I sound empathetic)...Trish have a wonderful time at your brother's and Denise's son's wedding, so much fun! I will be out Saturday for a short walk starting at 8:00...good luck to all the racer!
FYI...Ferris Road (the street I live on) is having the SPICY ETHIOPIAN FOOD TRUCK come between the hours of 5 - 7 on this Saturday...cash only...recommended is the Asa Goulash...we are going sounds yummy! (you can park outside our house - 86 Ferris Road)

I'm not sure we have a majority vote for starting time tomorrow - but I'll plan to walk at 7:00 with whoever turns up. If nobody is there at 7, I'll loop back and see who shows up at 7:30.

What a day for the weatherman to be right! I'm going to a wedding in Lindsay, Lydia is going to a wedding g in London, and my friends' daughter is getting married in Hanover - supposed to be pouring in all 3 locations all day. Damn!still a chance that he's wrong!!

I am not going to Montreal after all - is anyone looking for a race entry and/or hotel? I have to cancel the hotel by Thursday so let me know asap if you need either. I'm booked at the St Denis.
