Walks - Sat. Sept. 12 - Wed. Sept. 16

Fascinating Fascinator

Join us Saturday at Tim's - likely there will be at least two start times - 7:30 am (perhaps earlier?) and 8:00 am.

For those training, distances as follows: Corning 20 k; Scotia 16 k; Niagara 14 k. Want an earlier start? - sign the blog so others know. Let's walk with and support those who are training. It helps.

Others may want to meet and walk at 8:00 am - distance of their choosing.

Weekday - Mon. is 8-10 K; Wed. 8-10 k - we are in the final weeks for those training. Check the blog for locations - I'm not clear anymore as there were some suggested changes and most of us are getting back into fall schedules.

Race Day for those going to New Albany - we hope you have a great race and a great time; make us proud!

Some are travelling or packing to travel in the days ahead - we wish you safe travels and wonderful adventures. Keep in touch.

Monday is a special route for interested walkers. We meet at Greenwood and Wagstaff (north of Gerrard, south of the tracks). Walking west to Broadview for the sunset then back to Wagstaff and to the Left Field Brewery for a few samples.

Beautiful photo of Eileen! Best of luck to the New Albanians! I won't be out on Saturday, as I'll be paddling to glory at our annual dragon boat regatta; Go Flaming Dragons! I will try and make it out for the Monday night brew-tasting...I mean walk...!

For Monday, plenty of parking on Greenwood north of the tracks.

I plan to walk from Tim's at 8:00 am on Saturday - and I hope it isn't raining and I hope to have company then.

Cheryl and I will be out at 730 for our 20K stroll. Heading westward. Good luck to all those headed to New Albany this weekend.

Trish and Cheryl, I would like to partner with you tomorrow for the walk. If it's really raining hard (oh, please..oh, please) then I am staying put. Weather permitting, I will see you at 7:30. I KNOW that it's going to be downright balmy in Corning.

Lovely photos! Good luck New Albanyiers (is there such a word?)!

If it won't rain too badly, I'm planning to be there at 8 am.

Ok. Consensus for the Niagara walkers is an 8am start.

Sharon, Cheryl and I are holding off a while on our decision to walk. Forecast looking like rain all morning. Will let you know what we get up too.

I am not keen on walking 20 km in the rain if I do not have to. I won't be out walking. Stay dry diehards!

What do the 14k walkers think about this weather

There is no bad weather, only bad clothing! I must go shopping for some "good" clothing. The temperature is nice though.

Tomorrow is going to be even worse. Let's gear up and get it over with.

I will just walk in neighbourhood - I have a rain poncho.

This is the night that the routes committee has planned a special walk from Left Field Bewery at 36 Wagstaff Drive (it's more like a lane than a drive, actually). Cut and paste this link for more info on location: http://www.leftfieldbrewery.ca

We'll start at 7 pm. Bob is planning a route that takes us to Broadview to catch the sunset then back to the brewery pub to rehydrate. Park on Greenwood, north of the railroad tracks. Or find a spot on Wagstaff. It's close enough for some of us to walk over – which we might do, depending on when everyone gets home.

Helen said...

Ahhhh! I didn't mean to suggest you park on Wagstaff. I meant to write Walpole, which runs east of Greenwood. Please don't park on Wagstaff. Bad, bad Helen!

See you there. TG I can leave the car at home and have a brew!

I am unable to get to that location in time tonight.

I'll walk from home.

Sounds good to me. We might walk down to make up our distance.
