Walks - Sat. May 30 - Wed. June 3

Some girls have all the luck!
Join us on Saturday at 8:00 am at Tim's for a distance of your choice. Those training for Niagara are on taper this week. Check the blog.

According to Olwyn:
"Last Sunday, Cheryl, Trish, Eva and I were doing our 16k in Sunnybrook Park, training for our upcoming Niagara Women’s Half. Well, who should we stumble upon, but some firefighters!  They insisted that they have their photo taken with us, so we interrupted our training, and obliged them; we felt that we should be polite, after all, we are Shore Things! "

Mid week walks are Monday and Wednesday. Day time folks check in through Dawn. Evening are at 7:00 pm Loblaws (Monday) and Occasions (Wednesday). Check the blog and let others know your intentions. It has been lovely to have some new folks join us - come again - you are always welcome.

Bob's new guitar - looking forward to hearing it soon. Helen once said he is like a kid in a musical candy store.

Walks - Sat. May 16 - Wed. May 20

Again, she does us proud!
Join us Sat; at 8:00 am; at Tim's. The one race left for spring training is the Women’s Niagara. Distance is 20K but the gang may do a shorter distance- 16 or 18K. The rest of us will just walk a distance of our choosing on Saturday.
Rainer and Margy did us proud at the KW Walking Classic last Sunday with Rainer coming first in his age category yet again with a time of 1:14. Well Done!
Norma, David, Ruth and Libby laboured in the heat of the Sporting Life 10K along with 33,000 others. It was a challenge just to finish with the crowds and humidity!
Monday walk - I'll suggest Tim's 2 at 8:30 for 5-10 k.
Wednesday walk - back to the regular routine - Occasions at 7:00 pm.

Thanks to Olwyn for organizing and hosting a great Opera event, again.
