Walks - April 4 - 8, 2015

Easter/Passover bunny
This weekend offers a few different options - join in...
Many will walk in High Park on Saturday for Harry’s Spring Run. Start time is 10 am for the 8K. Olwyn and Helen are preparing ribbons to wear. Libby suggests meeting at 9:45 near the bag drop-off. Remember the park is closed to cars and parking will be limited on the side streets.
Some who aren't doing Harry's may meet at Tim's at 8:00 on Saturday - please sign in & check the blog, especially since there may only be a few at Tim's this Sat.
Training for Saturday/Sunday is: Big Sur- 12K, GoodLife- 18K. K-W Half- 16K, Niagara Half- 14K. Helen and Bob are walking to High Park from their house leaving at 8am. Let Helen know if you want to join them.  Use the blog to find a walking buddy.
Weekday distances for training is at least 8K one day and 6K the other.

Monday - two options: Tim's 2 at 9:00 am - a day time option for those who have the day off. Loblaw's at 7:00 pm for those who work. Check the blog to let others know if and when you'll be walking.

Wednesday at 7:00 at Occasions.

Helen will do the blog for the next two weeks while I walk Malta.

Bob and I will be walking both to and at High Park on Saturday, fools that we are. But when we arrive for the Harry's race, I can declare that we'll all have fab team ribbons. Olwyn is the ribbon keeper, so seek her out for yours.

Monday at 9 am, Tim's 2 sounds good to me at the moment.

Happy Easter and/or Passover, all!

Dear Helen and Bob,

I thought I would join you for the walk to High Park beginning at 8...but, it is 12.5 km and I am not so sure that I could do that in 2 hours AND THEN do 8 km more going up and down hills.
I'll just meet everyone at the bag check at 9:45. Enjoy the extra long walk (at least you will be warmed up)!

SKJ
P.S. Monday at Tim's 2 is doable. I will walk home from there afterwards...maybe.

I'll be at High Park on Saturday, but I hope to walk from Tim's 2 on Monday at 9.

Happy Easter and Passover, or whatever excuse you're using to eat a great meal.

I'll be walking Harry's in the morning with the crowd; find me for your ribbons. Some of us talked about going back to Sunset Grill for brunch after the race, at Danforth and Coxwell; join us if you can; we'll be there about noon/12:30pm or so. Happy Easter and Passover to all!

Congratulations to Dawn, who came first in her age group at Harry's Spring Run Off and to Arlene who came third in her age group! Woo-hoo!! Go Shore Things!!!

I would like to walk Wednesday evening, but it depends on the weather. I can take *a little* rain. Will check back closer to walk time.

Congratulations, Dawn and Arlene. You placed against runners!!! That's showin' them.

It's not raining now but not looking very inviting either. Tomorrow night looks worse though.

Tomorrow morning maybe??

The radar map (if we can believe it) seems to say that the clouds have passed. Maybe we should get it over with, if it isn't too windy.

But, if you're in doubt, I could walk tomorrow morning instead, Jan.

Bob says he doubts we'll see anyone out tonight. So maybe I'll give the evening a pass and try for the morning... Jan?
