Walks - Sat. Sept. 6th - Wed. Sept. 10th

Thanks, Lou Ann & Paul, for the party - lovely afternoon

Join us on Saturday for a walk - Meeting at 7:30 am, the Corning couple needs to do 18 kms and the Scotia group needs to do 14 km.  I suspect those who prefer to do less distance will be happy to meet at 8:00 am at Tim's. Sign in and let others know what your plans are.

Weekday distances are 8 and 10 kms for those training and the rest of us will endeavor to support you and do it with you (or not, as you see fit). Meet at Loblaws and Occasions for the evening walks. Dawn and Lou Ann organize the day time walks.

Best of luck to New Albany racers Ruth, Arlene, Margy and Rainer as they head to Ohio!. Do us proud as I am sure you will!

Great pics, Susan! I think the one of Margy and me is just before she flipped me out of the floaty chair into the pool....gotta watch that girl! I won't be out this weekend, as I have my dragon boat regatta ('Go Flaming Dragons!'), but hope to be out next week.
I'm planning on doing the Cavan 10k; Rainer is right; those buttertarts are worth it!

Not walking in the rain, may just walk later if the rain stops, or try Sunday morning.

Planning on being out Wednesday at Occasions. It is of course weather dependent - current forecast not so hot. I will confirm by 6 (have to leave by 6:15 to get there by 7)

Helen said...

Wow. Big rains and winds forecast for Wednesday evening. I prefer to walk tonight, but if the rains do come, is anyone interested in walking on Thursday evening instead? Just sounding you out now.

I'm up for walking tomorrow evening if it's raining tonight.

checking the weather radar, it looks like a big storm front moving in tonight around 5-5:30, so I'm all for walking tomorrow.

I'm going to walk home from work tonight (8k), and hopefully beat the rain; but will be out on Saturday morning at Tim's. Feel like I've been out of the loop for way too long!

Eileen said...

I plan to walk tonight weather permitting. Unfortunately I can't do Thurs.

Trish said...

I am retracting my statement and staying home tonight. Good luck with your walk Olwyn! See you all saturday morning.

Eileen said...

Well, it's official - I won't be walking tonight :)

Ray is at Alan's in the west end and he says it's pouring there so probably heading our way. I can walk tomorrow night if it doesn't clear up tonight.

Helen said...

Okay, so Thursday evening it is. See you at 7 at Occasions. Don't get blown away by the storm tonight!

Might have to break out the long sleeves. Still hoping to walk on Thursday evening. Anyone else?
