Walks - Sat. July 13 - Wed. July 17

A great post walk snack

You can always tell when a vacation has been a good vacation - I know when I can't remember what I'm supposed to do and how to do it....as you will be able to tell from this post.  I can't find the routes.....but aside from that, my vacation was fine....thanks for asking!

We have various distances scheduled for our walks this Saturday, so join in for whatever length of walk suits your fancy.  On Saturday, the mileage is a whooping 20 k for Dubliners, 10 k for midsummer and 12 k for Ottawa.  I think the Dubliners are organizing a 7:00 am start so feel free to join them, if you feel so inclined. The rest will start at 7:30 am and hope to finish before the temperature rises too much.

Monday distances are 10 (Dublin) and 8 (midsummer and Ottawa). Wednesday 10, 8 and 5 km.

As stated in the last post, early Monday and Wednesday walkers (for the month of July) are from Dawn's place at 8.30 Monday and Lou-Ann's on Wednesday at 8.30.  It is important to let us both know - by email please -if you intend to join us because depending on the weather, we sometimes change the times and don't want you to show up after we have left. Otherwise, Monday evening is from Loblaws at 7:00 pm and Shopper's at 7:00 pm.

Sign in please so others will know who to expect and when.

Not to fret, Susan. We rookie webbers are all still on wobbly legs but we'll get this down pat, eventually. So glad that your vacation was a good one.

Anyone willing to begin earlier than 7 for 20 km? If not, I'll come to do a shorter distance at the allotted time.

See you,
Sharon

Welcome back, Susan!

I'll be there at 7:30 for 8 km.

Should be a gorgeous day for Lou-Ann and Paul's pool party!

I will echo Sharon's words, Susan. One day hopefully we'll get the blog sorted out. I screwed up last week !!

I'll be at Tim's on Saturday morning, not sure of the distance yet but it certainly won't be 20k.............

I could start earlier than 7:00, Sharon, if that interests you. I have to be home be 8:00 am on Saturday, so 6:00 or 6:30 would suit me, but I can't do 20 km. What's your preference?

Some people will do anything to get out of long walks. I'll be walking "up north" on Saturday. Looking forward to seeing everyone at Lou-Ann and Paul's in the afternoon.

Welcome back Susan! I'll be out for a 10k at 7:30am, then home to make a 'pot of luck' for the pool party! See everyone tomorrow!

Susan your post is just fine, you are doing a better job than if I was doing it! See the 7:30 starters tomorrow...with the sun shining in the afternoon!

I am planning on being at Tim's for 7:30. My distance will be between 6 and 8k depending how the hip goes.

I think I will join the later starting group for the shorter distance this week..... oh the luxury of not training for a race,

I'll be there for 7:30 for an 8 or 10k walk. Depends on a few body parts.

Bob, Leverne and I will be starting at 6:30 -- and I believe Sharon is joining us, despite what she says above. Maybe some of you will still be at Tim's when we finish. If not, see you at Lou-Ann's.

Great party, Lou-Ann and Paul; thanks so much! I won't be out tonight (Monday) but will be joining the Wednesday morning group from Lou-Ann's this week. Stay cool!

I second that thought - Lou-Ann and Paul you are wonderful hosts.

Anyone going out tonight for a brisk (or not so brisk) 10k?? I would like to go (I think!)

Anonymous said...

Jan - I'll go tonight at 7:00 pm (not so brisk sounds good).
See you then. Anyone else. Perhaps through the ravine & down along the lake and back would be good in this heat.

I'll be walking Monday evening. Perhaps not so briskly. Are we meeting at Loblaws?

Anonymous said...

Yes - Loblaws at 7:00. See you then. Susan

Susan - do you know how to get into the ravine? Do you mean Glen Stewart Park?

Much as I would like to give the walk a miss tonight I need to walk off some excess food!!!
See you at 7

Never mind - figured it out

Wednesday evening's walk is from OCCASIONS, not Shopper's - my mistake.

Use the blog to let others know of your intentions - walk or stroll in the heat on Wednesday.

Bob and I will be walking on Wednesday morning – and in a flurry of packing on Wednesday evening. See you Wed or see you in Aug.

Anyone heading out tonight? Very hot. I'll go to Occasions but only if someone else signs in to say that they will be there.

I could go at 7:00 or at 8:00 (with the hope that it might be cooler). Any else?
