Walks - June 27 - July 3

Summer is here and it is a long weekend - hurray!

Saturday's walks
16K for the Dubliners: suggested route takes you to (almost) Rosetta - Kingsbury and Lakeside.
10k for any doing the Midsummer's race: suggested route to Fallingbrook and Queen St.
and the Ottawa Army crew start their schedule with a mere 8K: to the end of the boardwalk & return.

Dubliners may wish to start at 7 am to catch coffee with the rest of the crowd. Suggested start for the others is 7:30 am to avoid the heat as much as possible!

Monday and Wednesday distances are 8 K for all groups.
Given that it is a holiday on Monday, there is a choice to walk at 8:30 am starting at Tim's #2 or 7:00 pm from Loblaws.
Wednesday - Occasions with hills at 7:00 pm
Please sign in stating your start time and distance and location - for all walks.  I'll be away next week so Dawn will update the blog.

I guess I'll be there for 7:00 for a 16K walk. I'm sure Ireland will be worth it in the end :-)

Susan, congrats on your first post; well done! I'll be at the Pride 5k on Saturday morning, so I won't be walking from Tim's. And on Monday I'll do a walk from home. Happy Canada Day Weekend to everyone!

I'll be at Tim's on Saturday for the 8km, but Monday, Wednesday I'll be at the cottage, so I'll be doing different walks, maybe around the lake in a bathing suit...

I won't be out on Saturday, and am not sure about Monday yet.

However, for the month of July (excluding 1st) on Mondays we'll be starting from Dawn's house at 8.30 and on Wednesday from Lou-Ann's house at 8.30 with a swim afterwrds.

Please let us know if you will be joining us on those days as we sometimes change the time and need to know who to inform. In hotter weather we sometimes start earlier.

I will not be out on Saturday as I will also be at the Pride 5k, but will be out on Monday, at Tim's 2 at 8:30 unless it is pouring rain.

Helen won't be there as she is in beautiful San Francisco, and I will be flying out that morning to Montreal, where 16k solo may depend on the weather... tbc.

I won't be out Saturday. I am dog sitting. Afraid to leave an 85 lb creature alone in my house.
Then I'm away.

Enjoy your walks and travels.

Well done, Susan! Sorry to miss the walk, but I'm otherwise engaged in sunny San Francisco. Have a great day out and see you next Wednesday.

Susan, Congratulations on the blog posting! I managed to change some dates of races and added Libby's training plan to the blog. With a bit of practice, this won't be so scary after all.

I'm up for a walk from TIm's 2 tomorrow beginning at 8:30. I'll show up regardless.

Happy Canada Dat everyone! We are celebrating 146 years of everything wonderful about this fine country of ours.

I'll be at Tim's 2 tomorrow at 8:30.

I'm sure Helen is doing lots of hills in San Francisco. I hope all the travelers and cottagers had a great weekend.

It is Wednesday, isn't it? Hope to be able to join you tonight for, oh, for hills. Didn't I get enough of those in San Francisco?

Hope to be out for hills tonight, too.

Just remembered that Jan's away, and Bob's in Montreal. As I'm still catching up with work, and have to pick Bob up at the airport by 9, I might just pass on hills tonight after all. See you Saturday for 18K, time TBD.

Neither Leverne, Frances nor I will be out this evening. Hope to see everyone on Saturday.
