Walks: Mon-Wed, Oct. 20 to 24

Can you detect the added detail?
Well, this is it. Saturday's meet at Tim's will be smaller than usual, due to the horde of Shore Things in or on their way to Detroit to do the full or half marathons or to cheer on our team. I wish us all speedy border crossings and fine weather – neither too hot, nor too cold, nor too wet – and a great race.

Please sign in if you'll be at Tim's on Saturday. We hope to see you also on Monday at 7 pm (Loblaws) and Wednesday at 7 pm (Shoppers) for some victory laps. This is a great time for newcomers to join us, so please invite your friends!

Happy birthday to Pat – hope to see you now that the training is behind us. And belated happy birthday to Val. You see, I just knew there was an October birthday girl I was missing.

And I notice that Hallowe'en is a week from Wednesday. Do we want to walk that night anyway, or shift to another night? Let's discuss in the comments.

Good luck to all of the marathoners. Keep up a brisk pace and remember - the pain of not finishing is greater than the pain of carrying on to the finish line!
Look forward to seeing the medals.

I wish the racers an easy (okay, relatively easy!) and enjoyable race, and a fun time with the gang. Have a great post-race celebration!

I'll be at Tim's Saturday at 8 for 6-7 km.

Sheila, I'll bring you that book I promised you!

I'm going to Detroit. Seems like I've done this race thing to myself - again....

Monday afternoon 1.15 from my place. Wednesday at 9.00 am from either Dawn or Lou-Anne's house.

Greetings everyone from Quebec City! Just a quick note to wish everyone a good time (in both senses of the word!)in Detroit. Wish I could be there with you - I'll be thinking of all of you on Sunday.

Hope you're not too tired on Monday - I need to walk off the extra calories and make up for the lack of walking on this trip.

Congrats to everyone in Detroit - looks like some "interesting" results in the walking - love to meet the woman that finished the full marathon in 3:16!!! Questionable??

Hope everyone is in good health - looking forward to hearing all about it.

Is anyone going out tonight? Are the Detroiters taking a rest?

Hoping to be out on Monday night for 6K or perhaps a slow and easy 8K.

Hope everyone returned safely from Detroit last night and had a good nights sleep...I certainly did! I took the dog for a short walk today so I will not be out tonight as I am having a post-marathon night off!

Is it Wednesday already?! I hope to be out tonight for a not-too-ambitious 6-8K, barring a deluge.
