Walks: Saturday to Wednesday, March 24-28

Monday night's (literally) balmy beach
I've put 10K on our schedule for the weekend, but if you have a different distance in mind, please say so.

We might end up paying for this summery weather with a wet and gusty Saturday. If that's the case, would anyone like to meet on Sunday at Tim's instead? I have to be at Canada Blooms at 11 (all set for triumphant victory or humiliating public defeat on the Toronto Master Gardener Trivia Team), so I'd prefer our usual start time of 8 am. Speak your mind in the comments.

Next Wednesday evening at 6:30 is the start of the Lee Scott 4-week Wow training session, easily accessible via TTC in the Bloor/Ave Rd area. There's still room in the class if you've been leaving this to the last minute. Contact Arlene or send me a message.

Remember that the Shore Things 10K is just a week away on Sunday, April 1. Are you ready?

Get well wishes go out to Charlotte, who was descended upon today by a wave of Shore Things, who found her in good spirits. There's a possibility she might go home on the weekend. Well done, warrior!

And again condolences to Olwyn. Some of us were able to share the moving service for her father today. His was a peaceful passing, surrounded by loved ones, after a long and happy life.

And, of course, I forgot to mention Monday and Wednesday's walks: 8K, unless otherwise stated.

Wow - what an incredible photo.

I plan to be out on Saturday, rain or shine or anything in between. But if anyone plans to walk on Sunday, I'd walk Sunday too (whose idea was this 2012 challenge, anyway??)

Okay...I'm with Ruth....I'll walk both days and whose idea was it to enter 2012 in 2012?

one quick clarification - which Tim's for Sunday #1 or #2?

Beautiful picture, Helen, absolutely beautiful.

what an amazing picture, Helen. Makes me think that I should have come out walking in the evening instead of the morning. But morning walkers had a beautiful walk in the ravine, going south to Millwood Bridge.

I will be at Tim's on Saturday morning. And a note to the Bermuda M2Eers, we are scheduled to do 13k this Saturday. So bring your rain gear and be prepared.

See yu hen.

OMG, that photo is stunning. Helen, you are a master!

I hope to be out Saturday; gentle rain is okay, torrential rain is not! Rain gear only takes me so far!

Helen, a great picture! I won't be walking on Saturday if it's raining, so I'll gladly walk Sunday instead. Glad to hear that Charlotte is on the road to recovery.

What a beautiful photo Helen~
Thanks for your lovely words about my Dad, and thanks to everyone for your kind words and messages, and for those of you who were able to share in yesterday's celebration of his life. See you all soon, with hope!

Trish and Eileen (and a few others I know) are training for the Chocolate 16K the end of April. Hoping to do 16 once or twice before the race. We would like to do 13k this weekend just like the Bermuda gang. Hoping next weekend to do 16k. If it is nice we could go out the spit to the lighthouse (fingers crossed) if not we were thinking the north route as a change. Open to suggestions.
If you have any more contributions for the prize committee bring them along on Saturday. Many thanks to those who have already donated.

Hi,
I'm hoping to be out tomorrow, but also interested in Sunday. Not sure about the meeting location and time on Sunday. Is it Tim's at Leslie, or Vic Park?

Thanks,
Sheila

I'll be out Saturday doing the 13km as Trish mentioned. I can't make it for Sunday morning however.
Helen - fantastic photo.

Oh, poop! I said that if it was raining that I wasn't coming out. Heck, almost everyone is going to come out rain or shine. I'm in for both days (hopefully). Just need details about Sunday.

What a bunch of troopers!

Helen, a picture is worth a thousand words. This one is extraordinary. I appreciate your eye for beauty and the serenity the scene evokes.

See everyone in the morning.

Sunday's walk is scheduled for 8:30 at the Tim's at Gerrard and Victoria Park (Tim's #2).

Hopefully a few more people will get winning cups :-)

How far are people thinking of doing tomorrow morning?

make that "going"

Jan - you flatter us so by suggesting that we are "thinking" of anything at all, so we thank you for that & hope you will join us regardless of the distance.
See you at 8:30

Our youngest child has just returned from a month in Montreal, so Bob & I will be staying home Monday night to catch up on her travels. Jan has let me know that she won't make it tonight either.

See you on Wednesday.

Unsure what Bob's status is for Wednesday's walk, but unfortunately I find myself out of commission for a few days. Hoping I can recover before the weekend. Have a good walk, friends!

Enjoy!
