Does this look like labour to you? |
Saturday, while I am in Dallas glowing in 95˚ weather, you will be enjoying a nice, sunny, autumn walk. Both the KW Half trainees and the Chicago marathoners have similar distances on Saturday:
18K and
19K respectively. Do you want to do it together? (I understand the Chicagoans have a route contemplated). Sign in and state your views. Start time is 7 am.
For those walking shorter distances, chime in and discuss your start time: 7:30 or 8?
Today, I'm wishing a happy birthday to Julaine, Saturday's birthday girl. Trish is back... come out and see us.

Hi Helen,
Many thanks for the birthday wishes! I'll definitely be back soon! I've done
NOTHING in the way of exercise since the Big Sur 21 miler at the end of
April & then I sprained my ankle in July & it's just better now. However,
I've been productive-finally submitted my dissertation 3 weeks ago and my
defense is scheduled for September 24th. I'm looking very forward to my
reunion with the Shore Things! I've really appreciated being kept in the
loop & reading about everyone's life events-thank you! See you in October.
Best,
Julaine
Helen, have a wonderful last blast of summer in Dallas.
I'm in Montreal visiting family this week for the Jewish new year, will be back next week.
Take care everyone, and see you soon.

I would be up for a 7:30 shorter distance - I need to extra time as I am back in snail mode. Need to get the knees lubricated.
The heat in Dallas will be a bit easier to bear - they usually don't have that nice humidity we get. Have fun.
Julaine - way to go!!!!!Rooting for your defense.
7.30 on Saturday works for me.
Good luck Julaine -good for you.

Helen, have fun in big sky country! And congrats Julaine; hope all goes well. I won't be out Saturday, as it's my dragon boat regatta weekend; I'll be paddling and splashing along in Marilyn Bell park to a fabulous finish, I hope! See you next week.
Our Chicago group is meeting at 6:30 to do our 19km from Tim's. Feel free to join us!
Have a great time in Dallas, Helen. Lovely to hear from you Julaine.
Arlene and I are planning to join the Chicago group this Saturday (what's an extra 1K among friends). I believe they plan to start from Tim's at 6:30 (what's a half hour earlier among friends?).
Happy new year to those for whom this is the start of a new year, and best wishes to Julaine and Olwyn in their respective upcoming challenges. Hope Texas is not too much of a let down for Helen, after Iceland.

I'll be at Tim's at 6:30 a.m for 19km! It should seem like a strole in the park after the last few Saturdays!

I am too late but Helen kick up some dust in Texas; happy Jewish new year for those celebrating; Julaine, happy birthday and congratulations big time on your dissertation.
See everyone in the morning.

Wow, what can I say but ditto to Julain, Helen, Debbie and Olwyn. I won't be out this Saturday as I am going on a wine tour (yes, again) and need to be at my friends for 10:00; sorry guys it was hard to decide what to do. The next 3 weeks I will not be out because the 18th I am working (yes working at the Uniform Store), then off to Ottawa on the 25 then to Morgantown golfing on October 2nd. I will do my best to show up on the Mondays though. Enjoy your stroll ladies!
I love your blog!
Have a nice time!
Paula
