Walk: Sat. Jan. 30 @ Tim's

This Saturday, join us at Tim's at 8 am for our last walk of January 2010: a sunny but chilly 8K. I have vest samples to try on, at last!

For a change of pace next Saturday, Feb. 6th, I'm suggesting we meet up with the Toronto Power Walkers in High Park. They meet at the Grenadier Café for a walk and breakfast on the first Saturday of every month at 8:30 am, the later time making it a little easier for us to get there. Parking is available at the café.

Interested? Sign in and let me know.

Chicago Marathoners: you probably don't need me to remind you, but just in case: next week they open up registration. Let me know when you're official.

High Park?? You mean the place with the hills??

Sounds great. I'll miss this coming Saturday, but hope to see everyone in High Park.

Helen, for next year we should consider the Bermuda Race in January:

Hoping to be out on Saturday morning for the 8k. Don't think I can make High Park on Feb 6, as I have to take Dad to a doctor's appt. early on Saturday morning, but it's a lovely idea. See you Sat! Olwyn

Don't know if I'll make it for this Saturday, my toe is still sensitive and won't be in town next Saturday, but hopefully I'll be back during next week

I hope to be at Tim's this Saturday, if I can find enough clothing to keep me warm.
Not sure about the hills in High Park next week.

Walking Pals:

You are a great walking group, it's so nice to get together with friends. I see you arew very active with your races in 2010. Good to see you all supporting the Waterloo Half Marathon, it will be a grat event. Another great walking event is the Alfie Shrubb, if you hae never been, you must. This event has everthing a race should have for walkers and more. You have listed this race, I hope to see many of you out on June 6th.

Hi everyone,
Obviously I wasn't out this morning and unfortunately, I won't be out next Saturday either. I'm disappointed I'll miss the walk and breakfast in High Park, but I'll be away at Cora's Ontario University final swim meet. See you soon(ish). Have fun next week, and of course this week too.

Sorry I missed yesterday's walk. I did make it up though later in the afternoon. Walked from Don Mills and Lawrence to my front door, Midland and Eglinton. Exactly 9 km. Exactly 1 hour and 19 minutes. As a bonus, there were three long inclines and the entire distance was into the wind!

Next Saturday sounds like a nice change of pace. If I can't borrow an automobile, I'll have to ask for a ride.
