Walks: Week of July 27 to Aug. 1

You see, it isn't always pool parties with the Shore Things. Sometimes we actually work up a sweat. Hope the weather gives us a good reason to perspire this week.

This is a one-week reminder post for our walks next week (please use the previous post to sign in for July 24th).

Monday's distance is 8K from Loblaws at 7 pm.

Wednesday's distance is 6K from Shoppers at 7 pm.

Saturday it's 10K from Tim's at 7:30 am.

The first weekend in August is also a long weekend, when many Monday walkers prefer to walk in the morning rather than evening. Let us know if you're one of them. The usual holiday Monday meeting time for mornings is 9 am. It will be 6K.

Have a great week, everyone, sweaty or not.

I'm off to the cottage tomorrow to get thoroughly soaked in Quebec instead of Ontario...see you August 10th!

I won't be out tonight - taking my son out for dinner for his (belated)birthday.

Should be out Wed though

Did anyone hear what went on at the beach Saturday, I didn't read anything in the paper? Just being nosey.

Cynthia here.... I won't be out tonight....it is just too complicated with the car,David, etc. Might be out on the weekend but not sure. I'll sign in on 7/31 and see what's up. Ran into Milka on the subway and got caught up. That was fun. See you this weekend if I don't go away.

Hi Gang,
I'll also be away and back over the next few weeks; will definately be out on August 9, so hope to see you all then! Olwyn
- Helen, I have your book; will return it upon my return...
Also, I did the Beaches Jazz 10k tune-up on Sunday morning; it was a good 10k, all in our familiar territory of the boardwalk , down to the Leslie Street Spit, and along Unwin and over the bridge and back - finished the race just before the heavens opened! - lots of good (but strange)freebies, like toothpaste, shower gel, and dishsoap....! (!)

Now I know I said I would be out tonight but Alan's band is playing at the Drake tonight so I want to go hear him - I will be out Saturday though if anyone is going

me again - I was wondering if anyone would be interested in mid-dayish walk on Monday? I should be back in town by noon or thereabouts, and weather permitting, I woudn't mind a walk after that - but not the evening time.
Any interested people?

We're back in Toronto and will be walking on Saturday, Aug 1st. Unsure yet about Monday, though the morning is more likely than mid-day. TBC.

Me again -- sorry, but we won't be out after all on Saturday. Bob had a really sleepless night last (and by extension so did I). Might try to make it for coffee though.

Bob and I would like to walk from Tim's on Monday morning, if we could make it 9:30 am instead of 9 am. We have to make a deposit at Union Station for a 9:30 departure. Takers?

Looks like it's Monday morning at 9:30 at Tims's??
