Walks - Saturday Aug. 4 - Wednesday Aug. 8

Is it possible that Rainer is telling yet another story?

Join us on Saturday at Tim's at 8:00 am - kick off the long weekend walking with friends followed by coffee. The distance is yours to decide unless you are training.

Training distances for Saturday and next week are as follows:
Halifax:  14, 8 and 8 km
Corning:  16, 8 and 8 km
Scotia:     10, 8 and 6 km
For those training, sign in to let others know if you want an earlier start time (7:00 or 7:15 or 7:30?)

Given it is a long weekend, I suggest that Monday's walk begin at 9:00 am at Tim's at Leslie and Lakeshore - if it is a hot day, walking along the waterfront is the best choice.  Please sign in to let others know your plans.

Sunday walkers usually meet at the Running Room on Queen St. at 8:30 am.
Monday walkers - see above.
Wednesday walkers usually meet at Occasions at 6:30 pm.
Several folks are away or choosing other walking options - it helps if you sign in.

Announcements from Lou Ann The Shorethings Annual Pool Party is Saturday Aug. 11 (rain date is Aug. 12) anytime after 2:30 pm.  Pot-luck (Lou-Ann & Paul will BBQ something) and BYOB
Bring a dish to share, bathing suit and towel...and of course the sunshine! RSVP to Lou Ann directly.

from Susan - my thanks to Lou Ann and Paul for hosting the pool party again - one of summer's highlights!

And, my thanks to Helen for taking over the blog for several weeks while I was away playing.

Lastly, we hope that those travelling are safe and enjoying a wonderful get-away. To those who are injured or unwell, we send you our best. Hope to see you again soon.

I’ll be walking in Dartmouth this weekend doing the Shorethings Shuffle by the sea! Happy Simcoe Day to all; though down east they call it Natal Day!

I will most likely be out at 8 but if I'm up early, I may join the 7:30 crew, or I may just sleep in - in other words, don't wait for me.

Have a great long weekend.

Is anyone walking tonight? Rather dark here but no rain - I desperately need to walk - what are your plans?
