Our Sunday walk near the Brickworks
Labour Day weekend is upon us - please say it isn't so....where did the summer go?
For those of us who will remain in the city for this long weekend, our walks will take place on Saturday, from Tim's and as is often the case on a long weekend, we meet Monday morning at Tim's 2. I have heard some chattering about other places and times, but will leave those options out of the main blog for now.
Distance for Saturday is 16 km for those preparing for Ottawa. (Libby has suggested that the longest walk be done next weekend when more people will be in town). I suggest a 7:00 am start. For others, any distance that works for you is just fine - I suggest 8:00 am start for 10 km or more or less.
Monday morning - Tim's 2 - 8:30 am start - for 10 km or less.
Wednesday evening - Occasions for 10 km or less.

Due to people being out of town for the long weekend, the Ottawa group is going to do their 16k on Monday morning from Tim's #1 (Leslie & Lakeshore) at 8:30. Let us know if you would like to join us. Next weekend will be 20!!!!!!!!

I won't be out walking this weekend, as I'll be in Stratford, walking along the Avon River feeding the swans... But I plan to be out Wednesday evening from Occassions...have a great long weekend everyone!
I'm going out of town tomorrow, visiting my daughter Bonnie in Athens, Georgia.

I won't be out on Saturday morning as I did 13.5k today with 12.5 lb backpack and hiking boots. Won't mention how long it too.....
Not sure yet about Monday.
Next Wednesday some of us will be walking from Lou-Ann's at 1.30 pm and hopefully having a swim afterwards. If you are interested in joining us, please let us know.

I did my walk today and will not be walking tomorrow (see Dawn's comment above) but I will be at Tim's tomorrow from 10-11 with T-shirt samples for those who haven't had a chance to order/or try on as yet.
I'll also be out next Wednesday at 1:30.

I plan to be out tomorrow at 8am for a shortish walk. If anyone is doing a lesser than 16k on Monday morning, I am game for 8k at 9:00am. I also plan being at Lou-Ann's at 1:30 on Wednesday. Boy oh Boy!
I will not be out on Saturday (unlike Dawn and Sheila I did atleast 20K with a back pack on today...not really). Enjoy your walk tomorrow and have a great long weekend. At this point I don't plan on walking Monday however I may change my mind by then.

Weather does not sound too promising for the morning. Rain is forecast to begin after 7 am. If that is the case then I will postpone the walk until later in the day. The rain is supposed to be done by late afternoon. I won't be doing 16 km so late in the day but I can manage 10.
If anyone else does not want to walk in the rain but is up for 10 km later, please let me know.
