Walks: Sat. April 21 to Wed. April 25

Sometimes we literally stop and smell the flowers
All I know is that the Bermuda team is planning to do 20K this Saturday, starting at 7 am. Sign in or, even better, contact Dawn if you're joining them, so they'll know you're coming.

Chocolate Racers, technically, should be in taper (8K) this weekend. However, please set your own distance if you're still participating in the 2012 Challenge -- or not training for a race.

Monday and Wednesday, let's say 8K each for now. The real work begins soon.

Good luck to those participating in the Toronto 10K race this weekend. Take pictures. And keep your eyes open for Terry's daughter Quinn, who is doing her first 10K – as a walker (and it's her birthday, too). You go, girl!

Happy Earth Day on Sunday, everyone, and happy birthday to mon cher Robert. Celebrate!

Beautiful photo again, Helen. Hope you and Bob enjoy your visit to the Falls, and good luck at the Casino if you visit it.

I'll be at Tim's on Saturday at 7.00 for 20 k and am praying that the rain will hold off until later in the day.

Good luck to the Sunday racers too.

Gorgeous photo, as always, Helen!
Wishing you and Bob a loverly weekend getaway!
And it looks like Dawn's prayers are being answered....as of now, rain is no longer forecast for Saturday morning. Yay!
On the other hand, that means we Bermuda walkers no longer have an excuse not to do the 20 km...so... I'll be there at 7 am.

Thanks for working out Wednesday's mileage Sharon.

I am planning on walking at 8 on Saturday to do about 14k. I know I'm supposed to be doing 20 but I'm a lazy sod! and I want my extra hour sleep!

I'm planning to walk at 8am and doing 13km - as long as the weather holds out it will be on the spit. Trish will be doing it too.

Good luck to the Bermuda gang.See you back at Tim's.

It is Saturday morning, 6:25am. It doesn't seem to be raining hard enough NOT to walk. So, I guess I'll be there (with a special friend) for 8.

I'm too tired to meet at 8 am. Have fun.

My decision about walking on Monday night will depend on how wet and windy it decides to be. I'll check in around 6 pm.

I'm in a basement - what's the weather doing??

I think it stopped raining. I walked earlier today and I wore my winter jacket and gloves and cap. I am able and willing to meet for a walk tonight if the weather holds up and others want to join me.

Looks like the Earl Haig crew are giving it a pass tonight. Hope Wednesday turns out better.

For Wed night, Eileen and Trish have this insane urge to do hills. We were thinking, if others want to join in the fun, of leaving from Shoppers and heading down to Gerrard and Bowmore where we would go down Bowmore, up Bellhaven, down Normandy, up Kingsmount and down Glenmore. At Glenmore we go along Eastwood back to Bowmore and up to Gerrard. Here we are planning on stopping for a quick half pint and then head back up to Shoppers. Depending how you go down to Gerrard it's a bit over 9k.
What do you think?

Hi,
I'm planning to be out tonight. Anyone else besides the hills enthusiasts? I can do it, I can do it (might skip a few!).

See you at 7:00,
Sheila

Yes you can. They are not very long hills and we go up one and down another! Hills are your friend!

Helen said...

Hoping to be there tonight -- if Jan isn't going, instead of Shoppers I'll try to meet you down at the hell, I mean, hill zone.

Jan said...

What is this crazy talk?? Hills?? Are you mad? Oh ok - glad to see the sun shining so I guess I had better take advantage, hills or no hills.

I won't be out tonight, still trying to recover from a cold and I'm stuffed up and having trouble breathing. It looks like beautiful evening though.
