Thanks for your good wishes, everyone. As you can see from the blue skies, the weather for the Halifax Bluenose Half was fair. In fact, it was the event's best weather in seven years! Usually, it r**ns.
The scenic course takes you through the most photogenic parts of the city. Considering I had to make a pit stop, remove a stone from my shoe after the trail section and force Bob to stop while I took pictures, our chip time was a relatively okay 3:07. We had a great visit with our daughter, too.
With the Humidex, Wednesday's weather threatens to be off the charts. Does anyone want to meet in a cooler location for our 5-8K? We could go down into the valley from Shoppers, or we could meet by the lake (in the lower parking lot by Ashbridge's Bay). State your preference in the comments.
Happy birthday to Maria! Hope it was a fun one. And good luck to our hikers this week. Stay cool, gals.

I won't be out this evening - will be at a restuarant celebrating my friends birthday.
Will be out on Saturday morning. Looks like it will still be pretty hot then too, but not as bad as today is predicted to be.
I'm going to give this evening'a walk a miss too and head for the air-conditioned gym instead.

Hi,
I cannot make it tonight or Saturday.
Hope to see you Monday.
Happy trails,
Sheila
Helena and Bob; congrats on the Blue Nose Half! You two look very fetching in your Shore Things shirts, by the way! I won't be out this week, but do hope to join the ranks again starting next Wednesday. Happy walking everyone, Olwyn
If the consensus is "stay where it's cool" tonight, I'll skip the walk as well -- especially after doing a half marathon on Sunday.
The Reykjavik marathon crew have 16K scheduled on Saturday, when the weather should be less baking.
I agree, It's a little too hot for me ...I'll give it a pass tonight but will be out Saturday as usual.
Congratulations Helen and Bob on the Blue Nose Half.

As no one has written to say they're coming, I'll physically restrain my husband from venturing out and will catch up on my homework instead.
No walk tonight.
Stay cool. Drink lots of water. See you Saturday.
Too hot, too tired. See you on Saturday.
Sharon
P.S. Well done Helen and Bob.
