Walks - Saturday July 27 - Wednesday July 31

Morning Mist

I know, I know, it might be hot and humid - try to keep your sense of adventure and join us on Saturday at Tim's. Again, I suggest two start times; 7:30 am and 8:00 am - please let others know your ETA.

Training distances:
Ottawa - training is ramping up - 16K this weekend - 8K & 8K during the week.
Corning - scheduled for 12K Saturday - 8K & 8K during the week.
Scotia Half - a mere 8K. I am sure Olwyn will accomplish this in the UK!

Other walking opportunities:
Day time walks, Monday and Wednesday, please contact Lou-Ann directly.
Evenings at 6:30 pm, Monday (Loblaws or Dawes Rd ravine entrance - check the comments) and Wednesday (Occasions). Evenings walkers are few and far between - sign in and check comments before heading out.

It does help to sign in and join in.

Information and Announcements: from Libby
Beaches Jazz Fest Run/Walk Race is next weekend! www.beachesjazzrun.com. Distances 5, 10K and Half. Something for everyone! Let others know if you register.

Interest in the Zoo walk has started with Lou-Ann and Eva walking 10K. Any others to keep them company? Sept. 21  https://canadarunningseries.com/oasis-zoorun/

from Lou Ann - Mark your calendars - Shore Things pot-luck pool party is Sunday Aug. 18th - 2:00 pm. RSVP directly to Lou Ann. There is no nicer way to spend a summer afternoon.

from Susan - Prince Edward County has opened a new trail, approximately 48-50 km along a rail trail. Any interest in hiking it end to end?  http://pectrails.ca

Looking forward to seeing you Saturday.

Happy Campers

I believe the wine glass group needs to do 12 k tomorrow. Should we start at 7:30 for 12? I believe i’m directing my comments to Jan, Leverne, Lynne and Lyndia?

Hi all, I think it's hotter and more humid here in England, than in Toronto! I did my 8k in Shropshire, along with hundreds of sheep; they were much more agile on the high cliffs than I was! Stay cool everyone!

I won't be out tonight - battling a sore back and a work backlog
